Did you select "two-sided document" in the page layout setting? In that case it ought to work.

Re: Where is preferences file located?
In the folder I couldn't find the file. I created it and add some settings and it works. Thanks 2009/4/15 Vincent van Ravesteijn > Dan Phan schreef: > > I am using Windows Vista. Fancyhdr trouble
I am having trouble with fancyhdr. I use the following in the preamble: \fancyhead{} \fancyfoot{} \fancyhf[HLE,HRO]{\thepage} \fancyhf[HLO,HRE]{Title} \renewcommand{\headrulewidth}{0pt} \renewcommand{\footrulewidth}{0pt} But the page number always comes up on the right side, i.e. on both odd and even pages while the title is always on the left. What am i doing wrong?

Re: Latex export
Thanks, those two tickets exactly describe my problems. Hopefully they will get fixed in some future release To me, latex export is essential, a precondition for using LyX. I export all my LyX document to Latex. The reason is that I want to make sure that I can also edit them 20 years from now. Who knows what will be the status of LyX 20 years from now (yes, maybe this is not the right place to state this!). But Latex will probably be latex, and if not, there will surely be converters (in worst case, a latex file is a simple text file, which can be read). Actually, this leads to my next enhancement request: An option for LyX to automatically keep a backup copy of all documents in latex format. Has this been discussed before?
Re: pdflatex impossible, no error message
No pdflatex, no error message. I also meet the issue. Two possible reasons: 1. UTF8, some words like ff, fl 2. Directory of the lyx file. My OS is windows. If I put the lyx file on the desktop, I am sure to receive no result and no response.
