Document stoped compileing with strange error: LaTeX Error: Missing begin{document}.

2014-07-11 Thread Bruno Morgado
Hi all,
I was writing the introduction to my PhD thesis and since the references to
some pictures were showing up as ?? I changed the label of one of those
pictures in the hopes that it solved the problem.

Well, it didn't, in fact I can't compile my thesis anymore.

Now it fails with the error LaTeX Error: Missing begin{document}

I tried to delete that picture to no avail, I also tried to create a new
document and copy past everything but it didn't work as well.

Any ideas?

Here is the complete log:

Re: draft mode > no figures shown

2014-07-11 Thread Wolfgang Engelmann

Its me again.
What I got was a pdf file without graphics.
What I actually wanted was a lyx file in which each of the included
figures is in the draft mode. I found, that I could switch to this mode
in the Latex und Lyx options of the lyx graphics box. However, since I
have more than 70 figures, it would be more convenient to use another
way instead of clicking on each graphic. Is there such one?

I guess there is a figure which I took from a presentation, which
causes the error. Strange, that it worked without the draft. Will try
to find the figure(s) by exporting as a tex file and looking for
begin frame. Will come back

I forgot how to proceed in lyx if I do not want to show figures, but
