Unknown math symboles in windows

Dear lyx users
I generated a physics book with lyx in ubuntu.
The problem is :
When i open the pdf file in microsoft windows , i can't see math symbole
like sigma, it appear unknown characters.

Hi,

you can directly insert SVG files in Lyx. But since Lyx uses Inkscape to
convert SVG to PDF the outcome (and thus the file size) will be the
same. So this is rather a problem of how to create reasonably sized PDF
files from Inkscape files containing raster images.

Hello,
I have created a book cover using inkscape, an imported image (jpg) and 
text.
The size is 62 KiB for the former and 72 for the latter. If I export it
