Kevin sent me the files. From what I understand, the key difference that
solves Kevin's problem is using the following custom binds:
Format 4
\unbind "M-m bracketleft" "math-delim [ ]"
\unbind "C-less" "bookmark-goto 0"
\bind "M-m C-M-diaeresis" "math-delim [ ]"
\bind "C-backslash" "bookmark-goto 0"
