For example, how does one write a double integral with a "D" (i.e. a generic 2D domain) centered beneath both integral signs? Is there any non-opaque documentation anywhere that spells it out? Much thanks, Jim To insert the \iint symbol, for example, you can either type \iint followed by a space in a math inset or select it from the math toolbar. It's in the "Big operators" group; the icon for the group is an integral sign, and it's on the upper of the two math toolbars in the default configuration. To center a "D" beneath a double integral, start by clicking the "Frame decorations" group button (immediate left of "Big operators") and select the outline of a box with a smaller box underneath it (or just type \underset followed by a space in the math inset). Put the \iint symbol in the top box and the D in the bottom box. Paul

Thanks, Frederick Founder and Editor http://goa1556.in Frederick, (Please bottom-post when using the lists.) I don't use multiple languages myself, so I can only speculate. The first thing I would try would be to select all the text (ctrl-A with the CUI key bindings) and then click the text style tool bar button and change the "Language:" field to either the language I wanted or "Reset". Many thanks, FN -- You seem to have a mix of "English" and "English (UK)" (or "British") in the tables, and switching to British triggers the error message. The version I've attached, in which I switched it all to "English (UK)" (which matches the document language setting), compiles for me. I don't know why the language switching runs afoul of paragraph breaks inside table cells. HTH, Paul
