abntcite
Hi I am using abntcite to format my bibliography, but it does not really comply with the citing rules used at my university. For example, it shows the URL and date of publication. I would like to eliminate these fields, but don't know how. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Beny
Re: problem with bibliography
Thanks to all that replied It turned out the problem was in some references that contained URL with special characteres. I deleted the URLs and the problem vanished. problem with bibliography
Hi I was using package abnt and got the following error: *TeX capacity exceeded, sorry [parameter stack size=6000]. * * * * \begin{thebibliography}{19}* * * *If you really absolutely need more capacity,* *you can ask a wizard to enlarge me.* I read elsewhere that this kind of error is sometimes due to an open parenthesis in the preamble. However, my preamble is very short and could not find any problem there. When bibliography is removed the output is just fine. Any suggestion of what might be wrong? Beny
Re: truncated sections
Hi JMarc I would like to create a list that follows the order: 1.1.1, 1.12, 1.1.3 and so on. I understand form your post that these are regarded as titles and a long list of this kind is therefore forbidden. Is that right? Is there an easy way to alter the code? Re: truncated sections
Hi Marcelo No, it's not the ToC that run through the margins and get truncated. It is the list of subsubsections that is truncated. For example, I have a list of 12 subsubsections that does not fit entirely in one page, the last let's say 3 or 4 entries should have continued into the next page of the DVI or PDF export, but they are missing. Let me know if it is clear now or if you need any further information. truncated sections
Hi there I am writing an extended CV with heaps of subsections and subsubsections. The problem is that every time the amount of susbsubsections exceed a certain number the list of subsubsections run though the margins and is truncated when exported to DVI or PDF. Is this a bug? If not, how can it be avoided? Thanks Beny
png to eps conversion problem
Hi all I am having a strange problem with the conversion of PNG figures to EPS. Latex message says there is no converter. I have installed Imagemagick and reconfigured lyx, but it still did not work. I am using the same lyx version (1.3.4) and OS (Mandrake 10.0) in other computer without problems. What might be wrong here? The script worked for words that do not precede periods or commas, but when there is a period or comma immediately following the word, the script does not recognize it and there is not italicization of the word. Is there a wildcard that might be added after the word? Beny -- % Beny Spira Departamento de Microbiologia Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Universidade de São Paulo Av. There was no problem when the same document was sent before by e-mail from work to home. I do this kind of transfer (by e-mail) all the time with other files (.doc, .sxw, .txt etc...), and it never happened before. Any suggestions? The original document was written at work (with the ABTN2 keyboard), I continued to work on it at home (english keyboard) and today I sent it back to work. Then the problem with the accents appeared. Here is a small sample of the output in lyx: "H uma estrutura secundria de RNA localizada na regio intergenica entre pstS e pstC, cuja presena foi demonstrada pela tcnica de extenso de primer" But it should be: "Há uma estrutura secundária de RNA localizada na região intergenica entre pstS e pstC, cuja presença foi demonstrada pela técnica de extensão de primer" Beny -- %%%%% Beny Spira Departamento de Microbiologia Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Universidade de São Paulo Av. help with accents
I am writing a document at work and at home. At work my keyboard is ABTN2 (brazilian keyboard layout) and at home is an english (international) keyboard, so the position of the accents (~; ^; '; `) is different in each keyboard. When the document was transferred to the computer with the ABTN-2 keyboard, all letters that contain accents have just disappeared (and there is a lot a such letters in portuguese). May anyone help me to fix it out? I would not like to go through the whole document to spellcheck every word. Dear all I am trying to use the spellchecker aspell for portuguese(br). The spellchecker runs fine, but the dictionary is awful, it does not recognize almost any word, even the ones that are very common in the Portuguese language. The version of the dictionary is the most recent one (aspell-br-0.50.2). Is there a better aspell dictionary to use? auto-correction
Hi there I am a linux/open-office user and I'd like to switch to lyx. However, there is one important feature that I have not found in lyx so far, a personalized auto-correction. In open-office/word it is possible to set the an auto-correction for species names such as Homo sapiens. In this case I write homosapiens and the editor translate it to Homo sapiens. I went though the tutorial and user guide but couldn't find anything about auto-correction. Is there an auto-correction feature in lyx? Thank you in advance Beny
