Re: Numbers of section and subsection

Hi Stephen,

I know it, but I think the usage and installation process of tex4ht (htlatex
is included inside) is very, very tiresome. Indeed, after just an hour, I
haven't it installed. In the other side, latex2html is sopported in a lot of
distros and their usage is easier than tex4ht.

¿What tex-html converter do you use or do you advice me?

Thanks a lot.

Numbers of section and subsection

2006-04-03 Thread Jordi Espasa Clofent
Hello,

I use latex2html to convert *.tex files into *.html files; I'm content about
it in general. But there is a point of dissatisfaction: the Section and
Subsection format type don't appear with their number. Evidently, I've
checked that the Section and Subsections are numbered in original *.lyx
document.

¿What can I do?

Thanks

Re: XHTML output

2006-03-28 Thread Jordi Espasa Clofent
Hi stephen,

I've tried the XHTML output option of OpenOffice Writer in *.odt document and
it seems work fine.
Indeed, very fine: I've put the obtained XHTML code in W3M code validator and
the results have been completely satisfactories.

In spite of my problem is resolved, I still wonder if is possible that
generate XHMTL code from *.lyx document.

Thanks again.

Yes, but the problem is I haven't the required time to do it; more over, I
think my technical skills aren't apt for that.

A possible (and obvius) solution would be to erase the actual rpm installed in
my box and after try to install the newest version from sources.

Update LyX

2006-03-13 Thread Jordi Espasa Clofent
Hello,

I see the comments of the users are favourables about the LyX new version;
nowadays I use the 1.3.7 version in my SUSE desktop-production box an I'm
asking myself about the update is recommended.

I've seen there are two packets for SUSE distro in /bin subdirectory of
primary ftp LyX public server: 1.4.0 (Qt) for i586 machines and 9.2 and 9.3
and 1.4.0 (Qt too) for x86_64 machines and 10 SUSE versions.

My box mounts SUSE 10.0 and it's i586 architecture, so ¿How do I make the
update?

Thanks.

latex2html implementation style problems

2006-03-02 Thread Jordi Espasa Clofent
Hi all,

My goal is generate a HTML document from LyX. So, in first time I generate LyX
standard document and export it to LaTeX format; in second step I convert
this *.tex document in HTML document using latex2html tool.

It works fine in general sense, but there are two problematic points (at tme
moment... :P)

1. Comments

I use style "comment" in the *.lyx document, but in the final HTML
document
they doesn't appear. The error message output I get from latex2html is:
No implementation found for style `fontenc'

2. URL

Same as above but applied to URLs.

I don't know the problem is foused in lyx-latex export or in latex-html
export. I've searched in list about it, but I've not found the response.

TIA.

Sand out code

2005-09-09 Thread Jordi Espasa Clofent
Hi all,

I use Lyx to make the techincals docs for my work. Sometimes I include few
lines of code (v.g, shell-scripting, perl...) in that docs, but I don't know
the way to stand out these lines.

Until the present day I've used the Empashis option but it doesn't makes
anything when I convert the output in HTML format (I use late2html) and only
makes an italic letter in PDF output format.

¿Any suggest/ advice?

Thanks in advance.

Export to html?

2005-09-03 Thread Jordi Espasa Clofent
Hi all,

I'm working in a doc wich I want to export to html format when it's finished.
I've make a look about this, but in File > Export doesn't appear any HTML
format option. So, I've installed latex2html and reboot lyx, but it doesn't
appear yet.

¿Why?

PD. I've read in list about the accents troubles in spanish language.
Currenlty, my desktop system is a SuSE 9.3 and the Lyx package provided by
SuSE/Novell have the same problem. I supose the problem is Qt library is
compiled with immodule actived but I've tried to install Lyx sources first of
all. And... surpirse!!! It works fine!!! I've not need to generate a Qt with
immodule in off.
I hope this info helps somebody. ;)
