Copy and paste problems
I have prepared a Prosper class presentation in Lyx and want to include some of it in a book I am preparing for my students. These disappeared when I cut the new parts from the document. -- Laurie Savage Science @ Pascoe Vale Girls' College 03 9306 2544

Layout with nested styles for examdesign LaTex class
After browsing the archives I came across Jon Pennington's posting for exam.layout. When exported to LaTex it does not generate the nested structure the class needs, viz \begin{question} A question \begin{answer} An answer \end{question} \end{answer} or the paired structure for mix and match \begin{match} \pair{Einstein}{Relativity} \pair{Hoyle}{Panspermia} \end{match} If some one will point me in the right direction I'll have a go at rolling my own and post the results here. Yes, with 1.1.6fix1!.fix3 seems to fix this. On Tue, 4 Sep 2001, Steve Litt wrote: :Hi all, : :This is really bizarre. I've noticed the same with Bib files. Ive found enetering the absolute (or at least the ~/ file name is most stable. Sub- Superscript
A dumb question, but how can I create a subscript (as in chemical formulae) or superscript (as in algebraic expression)? Laurie Savage
Newsletter with Lyx
Does anybody know of a newsletter layout/class that will support things like: vol#, no#; banner headlines; date in the header; sidebars; boxed text and balanced columns. Since the old Mac died I've been using MSWord but would like to keep all my docs in Linux. -- Laurie Savage Orange Jazz Club Orange, NSW, Australia

Re: problem with pybliographic
I guess you've started by insrting the Bibtex references at the end of your document otherwise the little gray boxes with the citation ref would not appear. Do a view on your document, you should see the correct references Otherwise ... Check .lyx/lyxrc for the pipe and delete the lyxpipe files before starting Lyx then start pyb. Works for me. Graphics suppress new page in output
Included graphics are suppressing the page advance when I print a document. Example: 3 page document. Put graphic on page 1 - the document prints only on one sheet of paper - but each page of text overprinting. Put graphic on page 2 - page one prints ok, page 2 3 overprint on the second page. Put graphic on page 3 - document prints all three pages! -- Laurie Savage Earth Science @ Orange High School Orange, NSW, Australia
