Bibliography
Hi, this issue may have been discussed already. I want to use the bibliography environment of LyX; not BibTeX. How do I get the entries sorted? Which options do I have? Do I have to use a special document class or style? Regrads Martin

Labels and short captions
Hi LyXers, I have a table with a long caption. Because I wanted a shorter caption in the List of Tables I decided replace the caption style by: \caption[shortcaption]{longcaption} In ERT using the LyX-Code layout. Thereafter I added a label. But when I try to reference to the label I get the section number (i.e. 3.4.1). I tried to put the label at different places within the caption to get the right numbering but I failed. I can't use the caption environment because then Table appears twice. Any suggestions (with preferably simple solutions)? Thanks Martin P.S. Working with lyx1.5fix1

Hello, I know this isn't the right place and I don't know whether the suggested feature has already been implemented (using 1.1.5fix1). In my document I have a lot of subsubsections and sometimes paragraphs and it is difficult to refer to those. 1) Would be nice if each numbered chapter, section (...) automatically gets a label corresponding to the chapter / section title. 2) Would be nice if I could use the label-name as reference. To give an example (The %marked% is supposed to be a label / reference): 1 Chapter one %sec:Chapter one% 1.1 Section one_point_one %sec:Section one_point_one% 1.1.1 Subsection one_point_one_point_one %sec:Subsection one_point_one_point_one% This is a subsubsection %sec:This is a subsubsection% I can't refer to 'This is a subsubsection' because the depth for numbering is limited (and that's o.k.) Would be nice to write: As can be seen in %ref_name:sec:This is a subsubsection% on page %page:sec:This is a subsubsection%. And to receive: As can be seen in 'This is a subsubsection' on page 12. The auto-labelling would be nice because my section-titles change from time to time and I always have to update the section-titles used in the text. I hope you understand what I mean... Martin

Different alignment in a column
Hi, before asking you I've to tell you that I'm still using lyx1.1.5fix1. My question is whether it is possible to set different alignments (left, right, center) within one column by dialog. The dialog 'Table layout' sets the alignment of the whole column. The 'paragraph layout' sets the alignment of the whole table. Up to now I'm managing this with a parbox within the cell. Are there 'smarter' solutions (dialogs) in later versions? Regards Martin

Character 1/2, 1/3
Hi, writing a text I came across a maybe simple problem. Is there a special character to write 1/2, 1/3 and so on. To be more precise: Im looking for ONE character giving me an upper 1 followed by / and a lower 2. I've tried this in math mode but it didn't look well. Any suggestions are welcome. Martin
