RE: coloring tables
Thank you for your answers ! Unfortunately, I obtained lot of error messages when using \usepackage{colortbl} in Preamble, in a document with floats AND the OneHalf choice in the Document-Layout-Spacing ! (see the file attached). Chosing Single in place solves the problem, but obviously it's not what I'd like !! After my problems with caption and frenchb, I begin to think that I have no chance with Latex !! You need the package colortbl, see the attached example. For the colored column, you need some background of customized tables. Hello, Does somebody know how to color a line of a table in LYX ? Thank you, François
RE: PB installing LYX
Hello, I found out the problem, which comes not from LYX, but from LATEX : the package caption doesn't work with the frenchb language package. But it works with the french[GUTENBERG] language. Sorry for disturbing lyx-users with that ! PB installing LYX
Hello everybody, I'm trying to use the package caption, which is in my LATEX installation, but LYX doesn't want to see it. Doing the "Reconfigure" command, I obtained a very short list of package checked by LYX (see reconfigure.txt) : +checking for package a4 [a4]... yes +checking for package a4wide [a4wide]... yes +checking for package array [array]... yes +checking for package babel [babel]... yes +checking for package color [color]... yes +checking for package fancyhdr [fancyhdr]... yes +checking for package floatflt [floatflt]... yes +checking for package setspace [setspace]... yes +checking for package subfigure [subfigure]... yes +checking for package geometry [geometry]... yes +checking for package longtable [longtable]... yes +checking for package algorithm [algorithm]... no +checking for package rotating [rotating]... yes +checking for package latex8 [latex8]... no +checking for package url [url]... yes +checking for package varioref [varioref]... yes +checking for package prettyref [prettyref]... no +checking for package natbib [natbib]... no +checking for package graphicx [graphicx]... yes In the LATEX ls-R file, I have much more packages, including caption.sty. How is it possible to tell LYX to use the packages I want ? (I put obviously \usepackage[...]{caption}in my Preamble, but It has no effect). I found out a file called chkconfig.ltx, in the LYX installation, which contains the upper list of packages. Should the system-administrator modify this list ? Strange... RE: import Excel Graphic into LYX
Thank you for all your answers. The solution of Kristof Neirynck seems to me the most straightforward. (converting to HTML for obtaining the GIF file) François -Message d'origine- De : Kristof Neirynck [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Envoyé : jeudi 4 novembre 2004 02:14 À : [EMAIL PROTECTED] Objet : Re: import Excel Graphic into LYX On Tue, 2 Nov 2004 09:50:55 +0100, RENARD Francois 144138 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hello everybody, > Does somebody know how to insert correctly an Excel Graphic into LYX ? Export your excell file as a webpage. You'll get a useless html file and a folder containing goodlooking gifs. One for each graph. It's easy to convert these gifs to any format you'd like. -- Kristof
import Excel Graphic into LYX
Hello everybody, Does somebody know how to insert correctly an Excel Graphic into LYX ? (I tried a PDF saving and importing but the resulting graphic has lot of blank around, and I'm unable to obtain an image centered on the page...) Thank you in advance, François
captions in LYX
Hello, Does somebody know how to modify the apparence of all legends in LYX ? (modify size of characters, of margins etc.) I found no option in LYX to do that. I tried to use the package "caption", but it had no effects on the legends in my document. Thank you, François
longtables and rotating
Hello, I've a lot of problems with longtables and rotating in LYX : 1- Do longtables work in float environment ? Apparently no... 2- Is it possible to rotate longtable (I got lot of errors when selecting longtable + rotate 90 deg) ? 3- Does somebody know how do rotate longtables in LATEX ? I saw in a book that it is possible, but I can't manage to do it... 4- Is it possible to rotate a float figure (figure and caption) ? Thank you, François
protected words
Hi, Does somebody know how to protect words from being cut (for line break) ? For example, I don't want "AAA-BBB" to be cut, as LYX does : .AAA- BBB Thank you, François
\oe
Hi, Does somebody know how to write the \oe character (o and e attached) in a french text ? I tried to insert the TEX expression "\oe" and got the error message : "undefined control sequence". Curiously, if I put a "\" just after my ERT{"oe"}, I have no more error message, . but a "\" that I don't want ! (as "oe\uvre") ! Is there a way to create the "\oe" character from the clavier, for example adding a new command in "cua.bind" (but I need to know the name of the "\oe" character, and LYX need to know it also) ? I used this solution to create accents, for example, I wrote : \bind "C-apostrophe" "accent-acute" I tried the same for accent-grave : \bind "C-grave" "accent-grave" but it doesn't work ! (I got from LYX : "unknown function") but : \bind "C-backslash" "accent-grave" works ! very curious !! If you have any ideas ... Thank you François
lyx and tables
Hi, I'd like to know if ti's possible to import a table into lyx (as a table), or to transform a text to a table. I found no way to do that. Thank you François
