Screen Font
I'm using LyX to write my own thesis, but it happened an odd very bother situation: the screen font are suddendly become raw, more rought. When i using the option : OPTION -> SCREEN FONT to select a different font don't happen nothing. I'm using a RedHat 6.0 dist. that have a bug with Netscape which is possible to solve writing this: chkfontpath --add /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi Anyone can help me? Thanks Riccardo

insert a pdf diagram
I've a problem. I'd get the output of a program in pdf format. Then i've had make pdf2ps and i get a very small ps file; great i think, because when I insert it in lyx it was possible to see it. But when I export the lyx file in ps, i see the figure ( for a 2 second) and then the formatted page in ps. Question: there is a way (any options) to convert pdf2ps, to obtain a ps that is possible to see in teh formatted document? Anyone can advice me a solution for insert a pdf image in a ps document? Because I'm writing my thesis and I have a lot of diagram in pdf format, that i need to put in. Thanks bye riccardo

Size of a simbol in a formula

Thank you for your help, I have resolve my problem with insert the follow line in the
LaTeX-preamble:
\textwidth=145mm
\hoffset=12mm
the line at the start of the document:
\geometry{twoside}
and the line at the begin of the Chapter:
\cleardoublepage

Hi,
I would obtain the follow line in math-mode, only in math mode, in the
.tex file:
\begin{equation}
\text{\Large{$ \varepsilon $}} ...
\end{equation}
This lines print a Large varepsilon only with the ams-math package.
LyX instead can't let me to stamp the '$' alone, but prefix the \, like:
\begin{equation}
\text{\Large{\$ \varepsilon \$}} ...
\end{equation}
so the output is not a Large epsilon.

Title class always include the date
I am newbie to LyX I am going to write my graduation thesis, well my project was open source and the thesis should be open too Well I found very easy to choose chapter, section subsections and the page customization but I tried many times to write a good first page with the title of my dissertation inside it would look like "University of Bologna" Telecomunication Engineering Implementing embedded TCP/IP stacks My name Session Every time I find the date after the Title in the output, can suggest how to modify the "Title" text class to cut the date away?? thank you really Riki
