How fonts work in lyx
I have seen earlier postings reporting problems with deadkeys and accents in lyx 1.3.5 combined with Fedora Core 3, but so far no solution. In order to get a better understanding of the problem I would like to know a little bit more about how lyx works with fonts. With my current setup I can compose characters with accents in programs like emacs and xterm, but not in lyx, under Fedora Core 3. I could under Fedora Core 2, so something happened on the way. Both under Fedora Core 2 and 3 the spellchecker would not display any character with accent. I read somewhere that emacs and xterm are governed by the X server for the keyboard input. Apparently this is not the case for lyx, so how does it work ??? I feel that it is VERY IMPORTANT to fix these problems. I, like so many people, am very fond of lyx. Class Springer-SVJour Error: No valid journal specified
I am struggling to get the article (Springer - svjour/global) documentclass running under lyx. I have copied svglobal.clo and svjour. cls to my TEXINPUTS path and furthermore copied svjog.layout, svjour. inc and svglobal.layout to $HOME/.lyx/layouts. LyX reconfigures fine and I can select this documentclass. However, I always get the error message Class Springer-SVJour Error: No valid journal specified in option list. ... valid journal specified in option list}{} Does anybody have any experience with this ??? authors and adresses
I am writing a paper with 4 authors and 2 adresses and I am trying to put this together correctly. Ideally I want to have authors 1 and 3 associated with adress 1 and authors 2 and 4 associated with adress 2, but I can also settle for having authors 1 and 2 associated with adress 1 etc. How can I do this in the article class ?
