Metapost conversion
Dear all, I did not understand how to use metapost. I have created a .fig file in Winfig and I have exported as .mmp (to get a dynamic graphic). Now, to import it in Lyx I have got that I have to convert this .mmp in .0 .1 .2 and so on files. But, I do not know how to do. I have read there should be someway to run mpost figure.mmp and to get the figure.0 figure.1...files...but I don't know how to do it. Where should I run it? How should I run it? Can someone help me? many thanks -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/Metapost-conversion-tp1109998p1109998.html Sent from the LyX - Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
Natbib without Bibtex Problem.
Dear all, I am using Natbib (lyx 1.5.4) for my bibliography. I have a problem with how bibliography appear not in the text citation, but in the reference space at the end of the paper. I loaded the packages: natbib, citeref, hyperref,... Then in the reference space I use the common tool from LYX: first, I set the key, then the mark, finally my biblio elements. In text the quote appears fine, using citet and citep, but the reference do not. At the end of each element does appear the number [1], even though I have selected authoryear in the biblio settings in document. Example References Author, 2002, Title, Journal. [1] Author, Author, 2003, Title, Journal. [1] Do you know how to fix this? -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/Natbib-without-Bibtex-Problem.-tp664009p664009.html Sent from the LyX - Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
Table borders...double borders
Dear LyX..ers, I would put a double border at the top and at the bottom of a table. The only way I found up to now is rather fancy; that is, putting 2 lines more, one at the top and at the bottom and then selecting the borders. But, the results is not so good, obviously, as the table appears longer than needed. Does someone know a more intellegent way of putting a double border? many thanks to all -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Table-borders...double-borders-tp17409400p17409400.html Sent from the LyX - Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Author information in article class
dear all, I would put specific author informations in a document class article, which by default does not have tools for some of this information. In particular, I would have in the author information the following: address, email, institution, keywords, url, and one newcommand called JEL. I have tried in inserting in the preamble some package of the amsart class and doing \address{} in the text, but I have returned the error undefined control sequence. Might you tell me how to insert the above information? I would use only the article class (no ams or other class) Thanks -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Author-information-in-article-class-tp16941025p16941025.html Sent from the LyX - Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Re: Changing default font...to cmr
Dear Liviu, I would change the default font for the document class "article". I would have my final complied document (in pdf) having cmr or dcr font class (i.e. title: cmr/cmbx; section: cmbx; body: cmr, and so forth). When I set in documents>settings>fonts the computer roman modern font, the final output in pdf uses the font "sfrm or sfbx" and I do not understand why. How may I do? many thanks!! econkramer wrote: > > Dear all, > > I am new user to both LaTex and LyX.
