Re: Indentation after a list

Do not forget that French rules for layout differ from English ones. For
example, the first paragraph of a section is indented

Actually, there seems to be a difference here: The list may be part
of a paragraph that

continues after it ends, or it may end a paragraph. Right?

I think this is right. Actually my lists are composed of very long items
(several sentences), each of which could be considered as a paragraph.

Indentation after a list

2008-03-21 Thread jean beney

Hello,

I notice that after a list (i.e. after \end{itemize}) LyX does not put
an empty line, so that the next standard paragraph is not indented. My
editor wants this paragraph to be indented. Until now, I use a script to
add a newline after \end{itemize}.

Is there a way to tell LyX to add an empty lmine after a list?

parameters of the class

2008-03-17 Thread jean beney

Hello,

I am using a non-standard class designed for LaTeX by a book editor.
One of the differences with the class book is that the class has
different optionnal parameters. But LyX always puts in the LaTeX file:

\documentclass[english,french]{otherbook}
which does not give the result I want.

Is there a way to prevent LyX from writing: [english, french] ?

I must say that my document has been declared as being totally in French.

Another option would be to make your title shorter and make use of
subtitle.

Unfortunately, this option does not seem to exist in LyX.
Any other idea?

short title

2008-03-10 Thread jean beney

Hello,

Is it possible in LyX to define a short book title?
When I am on the book title, the short title button is disabled.

The class I work with has been built from book and it puts the book
title in the top margin of even pages instead of the chapter name.
