.lyx/cache
what is the function of .lyx/cache? I did not find infos in the help file. Seems to contain figures such as pdf, eps, png and they are all coded with 10 digit numbers. This file is quite large and contains large figures which I do not (anymore?) use in my lyx documents. Just curious Wolfgang -- lyx-users mailing list lyx-users@lists.lyx.org http://lists.lyx.org/mailman/listinfo/lyx-users

Hi Påvel, would you mind to tell me where you fou nd this setting exactly? LyX cache
I use LyX 2.0 on Ubuntu 11.04. When I did some work in my /home folder I realised that my .lyx folder is very big. Most of the space is taken by the subfolder cache which is over 5GB big. It mostly contains images from my projects in .eps and .png formats. Is it safe to empty the cache subfolder? Is there a way to flush it from within LyX? Such a big cache building up can be an issue on small systems. Best Regards Påvel

Probably there should be, and a limit cache to N MB choice, too. Richard
