Nicolas Girard wrote: Hi all, I've just discovered the savetrees LaTeX package [1] and I whish to use it in a LyX document. The trick is, LyX makes LaTeX load the geometry package before any other one, which leads to a clash between geometry and savetrees. This is all a matter of loading savetrees before geometry ; when oing this manually in the LaTeX code, the document compiles just fine. Is there a way of doing this with LyX ? If you leave Page Layout and Page Margin all on the default settings, does LyX still load the geometry package? (This might be document-class dependent though.) /Konrad

2008/8/14 Konrad Hofbauer [EMAIL PROTECTED]: If you leave Page Layout and Page Margin all on the default settings, does LyX still load the geometry package? (This might be document-class dependent though.) Well, the problem is, I need custom page width height for this document. Specifying this via LyX's dialog box triggers the geometry package. While this may not be the most frequent case, this is legitimate ; so in my opinion the solution to this problem should work even in this case. Nicolas

In the LaTeX output you'll find, in that order: \documentclass ... \usepackage{savetrees} \geometry{...} and the resulting document **doesn't** have the dimensions specified by the line beginning with '\geometry'. Wow. Now, that worked fine ! Great !! This will be a real time saver for me, thanks very much ! Perhaps this trick deserves an entry in the wiki, what do you think ?
