could'nt you just miss-use something else of the title stuff (author,
additional title, address, dedication) in the drop down menue which fits your
requirements?

If you mean Bibliography:
Add the citations from a bib-file (I am using jabref for creating it, it
allows to fetch references from eg medline, citeSeer, IEEExplore and to push
the citation via a lyx pipe into your lyx file) to the corresponding places
in your references.

with section you mean:
bibtex produced bibliography (which you get by
enter>lists/contents>bibtex-references)?
Click on bibtex produced bibliography (which one usually sets at the end of
the document) and enter under databank the name of your bibfile (without
the .bib-extension)
and under style the way the bibliography should occur (eg IEEETran or
natbib...)

Lyx IEEETrans.cls, Biographies, Affiliations

2009-10-02 Thread Nathan
Hi Lyxites,

I have recently switched to Lyx. I have posted on a number of forums and I am
having no luck getting any feedback from anyone anywhere. I am not sure if my
posts come up blank or what...

Anyway. I am using a Windows computer running XP. I am writing a paper in Lyx
for IEEE MTT and I need to do the following:

1) Add Affiliations:

in LaTeX on my mac I just write \affiliation{stuff}

2) Add Biographies:

It is not clear how to do this at all. I can make the section, but then what?
