I found another strange but related to topic bahavior: If I change screen font to some ttf (cp1250 encoding) text is rendered correctly, almost all greeks symbols are ok, but other math symbols are displayed as a lyx commands (or rather latex commands). It looks like ttf family font is used to render greeks too. Can anyone from Poland or other latin2 user say something about this? Maby this is problem with particular font package in my system. Thanks wo
Re: screen fonts in math problem
I see. Some latin2-chars made it. Sorry can't help. I have no problems with lyx1.3.1cvs. Maybe the use of instant preview can make life little easier. Ok now situation is clear. So: 1. I assume lyx is not 100% latin2 clear - this should be in docs 2. What about missing fonts in /share/lyx/xfonts? I think this is small bug in Makefile. And question: 1. Changing to CVS version can make difference? 2. Is there some doc about proper bug reporting in lyx? wo

Re: screen fonts in math problem
Well I made some sniffing around the problem and found that in /usr/share/lyx/xfonts is a lack of declared fonts. (lyx was configured with prefix=/usr so everything should be ok). Declared fonts are in /lib/xfonts. I moved this fonts: cmex10.pfb cmr10.pfb eufm10.pfb msbm10.pfb cmmi10.pfb cmsy10.pfb msam10.pfb wasy10.pfb to /usr/share/lyx/xfonts by hand and now is much better, but not perfect. Some characters are still displayed as meaningless chars. As I mentioned earlier after conversion to whatever format everything is ok. I made two screenshots: http://soliton.ch.pw.edu.pl/~wodz/xdvi_screenshot.png http://soliton.ch.pw.edu.pl/~wodz/lyx_screenshot.png (Now You see what I mean) How to fix this? And one more thing - is this a bug? I downloaded official rpm to compare with my build, and it is very similar to what I got. (I mean in /share/lyx/xfonts there was no .pfb fonts) Is this problem related to my LC_ALL setting, and Language I set in Lyx? wo

btw: lynx-1.3.0-qt gt-3.1.1 I usually use only the console-mode version of lynx. In version 2.8.4rel.1 btw.. Hi.. I'm trying to get a hat (^) over a term which has a subscript.. but the hat gets moved to the right cos of the subscript and hence it looks awkward.. I'm trying to write \hat{\Sigma_y}.. is there a way by which the hat could encompass the entire \Sigma_y, so I guess I'm asking if it's possible to sort of increase the width of the hat? Math problem
Hello, I've inserted a formula in a 2X2 tabular. For example: +---+-+ | A | A | +---+-+ | A | mathform| +---+-+ with mathform = (in math mode) \displaystyle{1/(1+x)} If I do I view postscript, everything is fine. I save the file, close it and reopen it. Now, mathform = (in math mode) {1/(1+x)}. The displaystyle command has disappeared. I think it's a bug Your sincerely, Yann COLLETTE
