Im trying to make and install gbib-0.1.2 for the handling of bibtex-files with LxY. Now I get a configure error: checking for map.h... no configure: error: required header file missing map.h is probably the old version of the STL header map. Your compiler should have a compatibility version, but maybe it is in a separate package and not installed. Try to get a newer version of gbib that uses recent headers, if possible in rpm format. This will be easier to install. Georg

gbib installation
Hallo all, I hope this question ist not too much offtopic, otherwise please tell me a more appropriate place. I´m trying to make and install gbib-0.1.2 for the handling of bibtex-files with LxY. Now I get a configure error: checking for map.h... no configure: error: required header file missing gbib says, it requires C++ and STL (libstdc++) and the development libraries of Gnome (=1.0) and GTK+ (=1.2). My devel-libs are (SuSE-8.2): libstdc++-devel-3.3.23, gnome-libs-devel-1.4.1.7-256, gnome-desktop-devel-2.2.0.1-26, gnomemm-devel-1.2.2-478 gnome-print-devel-0.36-360, gtk-devel-1.2.10-546. But it seems, anything else is missing. Thank you for any indication. bernhard -- http://www.mb-schiekel.de/ GPG-Key available: GnuPG-1.2.2
