Re: problem previewing pdf figure
Is this true of one particular image, one particular document, or all documents containing PDF images? Assuming the last, open a command window and check that 'convert -version' returns the version info for the Ghostscript convert function and not the DOS convert function. If it's the DOS function info, trying either editing your system path to put the GS convert function at the top or editing Tools Preferences... Paths PATH Prefix in LyX to do so. If the version info is for the GS convert function (or if you already have the GS bin directory in your LyX PATH Prefix setting), try running 'convert your_image.pdf your_image.ppm' and see if the convert function spits up any error messages. problem previewing pdf figure
I have a pdf figure in my lyx file. Exporting the entire document to pdf using pdflatex works fine. The problem is previewing the image in lyx. The error message I get is Error converting to loadable format. When i google for this problem i find several places that says its a problem with an older version of Ghostscript, but that the problem has been fixed if you have version 9 or greater. I checked the version of GS i have in the lyx directory and its 9.04 so I should be fine but I'm still not :-( thanks!
