Hold onto it for a day or two, I have a stack of about 100 PCMCIA cards, I 
might be able to pass one along if I can find one that fits.

I'm sure you're right; it's almost identical to the cable used by an IBM 
ethernet II adapter but there's an extra tiny bump that prevents it from going 
into the socket.

All my PCMCIA modems use different connectors so I think I can toss this cable 
with a clear conscience ;-)

That's an old school PCMCIA MODEM telephone cable with A 41H8105 connector. 
You'd cram that huge crazy end into the PCMCIA modem and the other into your 
wall jack.

I thought of that but never bothered to check with my box of PCMCIA modems
because of the six-pin RJ12 plug; I will now though.
