Re: question about strange consequence of iPod update...

2013-12-28 Thread Desi Noller
Hi Laurie,

Don’t feel alone at all! This is a well-known and widely reported bug! My
iPhone will not only report that my phone is locked twice, but sometimes, when
I have it in my pocket, suddenly I will hear, “Screen Locked.” I think
everybody is hoping that this will be fixed in the next update.

Yes it always says locked twice after the update, just something that needs a
fix but nothing to worry about.

question about strange consequence of iPod update...

2013-12-28 Thread Laurie Mehta
Hi all,
I only recently updated to version 7 for my iPod and after the update, among
the expected changes, I am finding that after I click the lock button and the
voice over voice says that the screen is locked, a few seconds later the voice
repeats screen locked. This seems very strange to me.

Is this happening for any of you as well?

Any thoughts about why it's happening?

Thanks!

- Laurie

Conversions Of measurements In Recipes

2013-12-28 Thread Dane Trethowan
Hi!

I'm using Paprika as my main recipe manager now.

I recently joined a recipe exchange but realised very quickly that I had a
small problem, I work in metric measurements whereas the list work in imperial
measurements.

On my own I have my own ways of converting from imperial to metric - I can use
Siri on my iPhone as required for example - but does anyone know of a better
way of converting complete recipes at a time from metric to imperial before I
eMail each out to the list?
