iTunes query

2014-01-21 Thread Jackie Brown
Using iTunes on the Mac, I am really stumped!

I have purchased some music from iTunes which is on my iPad Mini, no problem
there. I synchronised it with my Mac, no problem there either. But when I
later put my iPhone on the Mac, it has copied all the purchased music onto
it which is a problem as it gives me little space now. So question: how do
I get rid of the music on my iPhone without losing it elsewhere? I have
unticked the box that lets you synchronise once connected, and the
synchronise music box is unticked as well. If I select all my music and
attempt to delete it, it prompts me to be sure, or it will remove it from
all other devices with this library. Not sure where to go from here, but
have a feeling I am not doing something right, so would appreciate guidance
from those of you who use iTunes for music more than I ever have! (smile).

I apologise for raising a subject that has been flogged to death, so feel
free to Email me off list to avoid traffic. Many thanks.

Kind regards,

Jackie Brown

Media fire accessibility.

2014-01-21 Thread Sadam Ahmed
Greetings and salutations to all,

Just wondering if anyone can comment on the accessibility of this application?

Media fire is a cloud service somewhat similar to dropbox, sugar sink, Google
Drive etc.

Totally unusable on the desktop.

The iTunes link is below:

https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/mediafire/id555646196?mt=8.

If someone could test accessibility and get back to the list with their
findings? I'd be most appreciative.

Thanks guys. This list has grown in valuable as I continue to push the
boundaries of my Apple products both professionally and personally.

Thank you.

Kind regards,

Sadam Ahmed

I lost my junk folder

2014-01-21 Thread Sarah k Alawami
Hello. I'm not sure how i did this but i lost my junk folder. I go to mail and
down arrow, or vo down arrow and i my junk folder is just plain missing. It
shows none of my accounts and i checked and my spam folder is checked to show
in imap view. I tried unchecking and rechecking a box and then reseting the
mail data base with no fix.

Is there any advice? i tried what ever i could think of and nothing.

Take care all.

Pages, headers and auto numbering

2014-01-21 Thread Rudolph, Douglas
hey guys. this is very much so frustrating me. How do i implement auto page
numbers for my documents using the latest version of pages on MAVRIX? Also, is
it possible to create a template with pages that will implement particular
headers, according to the class i need, and automatically implement the auto
page numbers in said document without myself creating them?
thanks a lot guys

Re: Pages, headers and auto numbering

2014-01-21 Thread Zachary Kline
Douglas,
The answer to your first question is that yes, you can do this. The way to set
it up is go to the header or footer where you want your page numbers to appear,
and if your mouse is tracking the VoiceOVer cursor, which it ought to be if you
didn’t consciously change it, a popover will come up. There is an “Insert page
number,” button inside which you can click with vo-shift-space. Once you’ve
done this, subsequent pages should be numbered correctly automatically.
In answer to your second question, templates should be fairly straightforward
to create, if you do the same steps as above for each class, with header and so
on customized as you like.
Best,
Zack.

Just to add, you can also click on the Insert Page Number popup menu with
ordinary old VO-Space. I've also found that while VoiceOver for me reads every
page as having the same page number, in fact this is just VoiceOver being weird
and visually each page is numbered properly with a unique number.
Best,
Nic

Hi Nick and all,
Navigation across multiple pages with VoiceOver is still something I’m
struggling with. I believe once you get to the right headers and footers you’ll
find the page numbers are read properly. It’s a lot better than it was before,
but still not perfect.
Best,
Zack.
