Re: Superduper

2014-03-07 Thread Dane Trethowan
I've been using super Duper for ages, at least the last 7 years I think.

Its a great piece of software and how long it takes to backup your computer
depends on a few factors, how much data you have to backup, what sort of backup
you're undertaking etc.

Wait guys I would suggest if you don’t mind being clear if we are talking
iMessage on the iPhone or the mac. I said what I said believing we were
talking about the iPhone. The mac does hold different limits.

 Hi!

I've been using iMessage lately and its a sure improvement on the
standard SMS so I'm wondering if someone can give me more detail on
how the system works, does iMessage actually send text through the
standard SMS services in text chunks or what.

I'm using iMessage on my IOS devices so just how easy is it to use on

 Hi!

I've been using iMessage lately and its a sure improvement on the standard
SMS so I'm wondering if someone can give me more detail on how the system
works, does iMessage actually send text through the standard SMS services
 in text chunks or what.

I'm using iMessage on my IOS devices so just how easy is it to use on a
 Mac using OSX?

To add to the person's message, you are not jut limited to m4a files. I sent
some ogg files as well as some mp3 files. You just have to have the right thing
to play them on your mac if you get one. I have also sent pictures as well for
my sighted iMessage buddies.

Take care and be blessed.

No no, I wasn't talking about Audio/Video calls at all, I was talking about
Audio/Video messages, a feature something similar to what Skype has perhaps
where you can record a message and send it.

The question has been answered in a way, it seems you can paste audio/video
files into a message and send that way.

Re: iMessage

2014-03-07 Thread chris
Sorry misread the question. No you cannot use iMessage to make or receive
audio/video calls; that's the purpose of FaceTime. iMessage however allows you
to send audio/video files as part of the message.

Now that FaceTime audio is out I hope you can do it through IMessage. I have
not had time to even update my supplemental materials for mavericks as I need
to focus more time on my graduation projects, how ever that is something I do
want to play with when time permits.

Take care.
