Re: Drag and drop was Re: Vienna

2014-04-06 Thread Sarah k Alawami
I think there is a focus issue as I've been trying to alphabetize my feeds
again aster adding new ones. it was easier in osx mountain lion as focus was
never lost, how ever it has become nearly impossible to do this under the
current build of mavericks. I hope apple can take a look at this as I'd love to
have the same access to drag and drop that a sighted person would have.

Take care.

Catherine,
When I get the chance later, I’ll experiment with it to try to give you some
suggestions for how to get things just right with regard to the order of
folders/feeds in Vienna.

For now, let me just say that your confusion about the enclosed items will be
eliminated when you understand that VO is not saying “two items and closed.”
It is saying “two items enclosed.” Maybe that will help a little. Still, it
is a little tricky to get things
exactly right with regard to the order of things in Vienna. Admittedly, I
have not been overly concerned about it but to get things into folders.

and I have always been confused by the disclosure triangle. I also
wonder whether the use of quick nav affects how it works. I quite
often get confused when VO says things like "folder bla level 1
expanded, 2 items and closed" - it seems odd to me that it can
simultaneously say something is expanded and closed.

Anyway I wonder if anyone can help me understand how to drag and drop
folders. I don't know enough to know whether what I'm trying to do is
impossible all together, impossible in Vienna or I'm simply doing the
wrong thing.

At the moment I have a folder I created called development and another
called food. Food is further up the list and I want to put
development before food. So I have quick nav on and have interacted
with the table. I go to development, VO says "development edit text
collapsed". I mark it for drag and drop and then move back up the
list to food. But it seems no matter if I press drop, drop before or
drop after I always seem to end up with the development folder inside
food or another folder.

All I actually want to do is have all the folders at level 0 and
arranged alphabetically. But when I create a new folder in Vienna it

Drag and drop was Re: Vienna

I've been trying to create folders and put them in the order I want

I never seem to be able to get the folders where I want them. Quite

expanded, 2 items and closed" - it seems odd to me that it can
simultaneously say something is expanded and closed.

Anyway I wonder if anyone can help me understand how to drag and drop

At the moment I have a folder I created called development and another

Our Cloud Access

2014-04-06 Thread Mrs. Lynnette Annabel Smith
Good morning everybody

As you may know if you’ve read our recent mail on the subject, we now have a
lovely 8TB of cloud storage available, and that will shortly be almost doubled
as we are investing in more hardware this afternoon.

Would anybody be interested in trying out our cloud services? This will involve
us creating a private share to which you, and only you, have access. If you are
interested, or if you would like to know more, please contact us off list
either via the support address, or via my own or Gordon’s personal addresses.
Since this is not strictly a Mac Access issue, we are not insisting that you
use the support address. So feel free to contact either:

or:
ly...@mac-access.net
in addition to:
supp...@mac-access.net
for further information.

Warm regards
