Skype Question

2014-08-04 Thread Eleanor Martha Burke
On my Mac Book Air Skype is currently set to login automatically when I
start the computer. I would like to change this so that I open Skype when I
want to but I do not know how to change this setting. Any help greatly
received.

You shoudl not need that. I launch from the doc, wait until I hear no
windows and cmd tab away and they will show your folder in your ~ dir.

Take care.

Hi Eleanor!
OK forget the Doc and the Applocations!
Use the alias you set up!
Open it from there and see if it appears on the Doc after you've opened
it!
If you have a dropbox on your Doc already go to it first and VO+shift+M
and go to the option to remove from Doc!
And after that open the Alias Dropbox to see if that one appears in the
Doc and if so use VO+shift+M on it and choose the option to keep in Doc
and from then you should have no more problems!

The Dropbox in your Applecations is no good because of the Alias!

Hi Eleanor!
Ok You open VO+M or press Control+f2 to get to the main menu!
When on the apple option arrow down to System Pref’s and open!
Or open System pref’s from the Doc!
Then in the scroll area press u and that should take you to users and groups
button and open that!
Pick your option from the table and then log-in items and in the table you will
see all items that log-in!
You can choose to either uncheck or check any there or add or remove them for
good!

Skype

2014-08-04 Thread Eleanor Martha Burke
Hi Colin and All, while I managed to wort the contacts to on-line contacts,
I am still not sorting how to stop Skype starting up at Login. Colin did
tell me to go to System Preferences, Users and Groups, but I can't find
where it says Skype is starting up automatically. I think I need a little
more detailled help on this one please.

Hi Eleanor!
OK if your on your contacts list just stop interacting with it and arrow
left and you will find all the choices like all, Skype, on my Mac and online
in some kind of order! *smile*

Just VO+space on the Online option and you’ll be set!
