connecting External Monitor to Mac Book Air

2014-09-02 Thread Eleanor Martha Burke
I have connected the monitor using the Apple adaptor. In System
Preferences I have checked the box to mirror display in Menu or something to
that effect. However, I am only getting a display now on the external
monitor and the screen is remaining same at desk top or finder. I cannot
find in the display tab under system preferences to check that the display
is mirrored on both devices. Help greatly received.

Re: how to decrypt my HD?

2014-09-02 Thread Sarah k Alawami
Actually it does not. I used file vault with no errors. I think the apple rep
did not know what they were talking about. m finding that out more and more as
I help people witht her macs. half the time the apple reps at the apple stores
are wrong and give faulse or incorrect info.

Take care.

it’s not a big problem hence i’m not going to stress over it.
mavericks has a lot of bugs in this area, the genius at apple told me that when
i got my mac fixed.

RE: Blind Square points of interest

2014-09-02 Thread Eileen Misrahi
Hello,

I could be mistaken, but doesn't the accuracy on how close you get to a POI
depend upon the GPS satellitesone has? There's a button right above the home
button in Blind Square that will give you GPS accuracy within Blind Square.
If you double tap this button, the info changes to speed and double tap it
again you can get cardinal direction. The double tapping of this button will
cycle back to the gPS accuracy. The closest I have ever been with Blind
Square and my GPS satellites has been 16 feet. One habit I have gotten into
is when you have reached your destination, toward the bottom of the detail
information of the destination there will be a button to update the GPS
coordinates. This may help in the accuracy when using the specific
destination again. HTH.

No it does not. I never trust apps like that. I trust my travle skills to
know where building are and I practice routs like crazy to know the campus
inside and out so I rarely get lost except when I'm distracted and end up 2
miles from where I'm suposed to be.

Take care.

Lol. osx is by no means clunky. I was taking notes after a day of learningthe
mac. I have several podcasts taht cover itunes, mac and more. check out
http://tffppodcast.com/listen and search for itunes and
http://tffppodcast.com/premium for the newer mac stuff as the stuff I have on
the other site is 4 years out of date. One advice I give to new mac users is to
slow down and don't try and learn everythign wiht in a day. if you have any

No it does not. I never trust apps like that. I trust my travle skills to know
where building are and I practice routs like crazy to know the campus inside

where I'm suposed to be.

Dear listers,

I'm about to start Uni soon and will be attending various buildings on a large
campus. I have not yet invested in Blind Square and wondered if it allows you
to save places down to an accuracy for finding the fronts of large buildings?

Thanks for your reply.
I'm not even sure, what you are asking me. I am a new Mac air user. I've had
the iPhone for a number of years. I've been told, that there is a create

this is.
Was also wondering, if I could highlight or select, all of the tracks on a CD

And the, seemingly, clunky OS system on Macintosh.

People, this isn’t accessibility? This is a joke. We shouldn’t have to jump
through hoops to use the app. I just received a survey by Facebook and they
didn’t rank very well. I will use the link provided an list all the issues.

There IC app works a lot better. This is why I am not a major face booker. I
just get frustrated with the app and give up.

We shouldn’t except second rate quality. No one else in the market does.
