Re: Using the Apple store app on my iPhone to make a genius barappointment
Well I guess I now know that the onscreen keyboard should be visible to VO, so when it isn’t [if it happens again] I will just keep trying, or maybe reboot. Going back to creating a Braille note for the password, and then doing a cut and paste for the onscreen text field; I still think there will be the issue of the capitalisation of letters, that in Braille require the dot 6 in front of them, and as I have said before, the password field on the phone will see that dot 6 as a character thus invalidating the password itself. I’m not sure therefore if there is a Braille way to enter passwords if for whatever reason, there is no visible onscreen keyboard. All this said, I don’t know anything about 8 dot braille, but as it offers 2 extra dots [usually used for the cursor] maybe dot 8 could somehow replicate dot 6 as an indication of a capitol. Maybe somebody can say more… - Andy On 6 Sep 2014, at 00:43, Matthew Carello mcarell...@comcast.net wrote: That is cool that you got it to work. Things like that tend to happen at times though . However, the suggestion got me to try using a Braille display; the problem there was that I couldn’t figure out how to enter capitals and numbers in Braille that would display in the password edit field the way I needed them to be. I did try using computer numbers, but as the display just fills up the cells as the phone does in order to keep the password invisible, I couldn’t check if what I entered worked or not. Re: Nuance pdf converter
Hi Nicholas. In fact I can not find the trial. Do you have a link? Yes I can just buy it and get a refund if it is not accessible, but I have done so with the dragon speech for mac not long ago, because it could not be used for danish, and I wasn't aware of that. So maybe they will wonder about one more refund. Best regards Annie. Den 04/09/2014 kl. 14.38 skrev Nicholas Parsons mr.nicholas.pars...@gmail.com: I've used it before. Re: How to access setings for dropbox on the mac.
Hi Gordon. I figured out that I could do it in the settings for dropbox, so now I will have to remember to turn dropbox on when restarting. I will look in preferences, and see if this method is better. Thank you Annie. Of course, first route the mouse to the dropbox icon, then hold down the option key and click the mouse on your air/pro, or on an external mouse open the preferences menu item in the drop down menu and under “account”, you can change the default location of the dropbox folder. I’m not sure if you can successfully use an external disc, but go ahead and experiment with some dummy files and see what happens when you pull the plug. under “account”, You can also use selective sync to limit the folders that dropbox syncs onto your mac, if space is a concern. But, you’ll need sighted assistance to click the various folders that you want to sync and uncheck those you don’t want on your machine. --- Mac Access At Mac Access Dot Net --- To reply to this post, please address your message to mac-access@mac-access.net You can find an archive of all messages postedto the Mac-Access forum at the list's public Mail Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-access@mac-access.net/.
