Bluetooth keyboard on IOS 8

2014-09-25 Thread Paul Hopewell
Hello,
Many thanks for the info on touch typing on IOS 8.

I vaguely recall reading some posts about bluetooth keyboards on IOS 8. IS
there a problem there? I have been trying to use the iMac ASpp Type2Phone to my
new iPhone 5S now running the latest IOS 8. Pressing the arrow keys on the iMac
moves the cursor between fields on the iPhone but typing characters on the iMac
does not enter them on the iPhone.

Any thoughts….
Many thanks.

Re: Enabling touch typing on iPhone

2014-09-25 Thread christopher hallsworth
In iOS 8 you can now change the typing mode by going to settings > general >
accessibility > VoiceOver and by double tapping on typing style. Alternatively,
activate any virtual keyboard, use the rotor to select typing mode then flick
up or down with one finger to select touch typing.

Enabling touch typing on iPhone

2014-09-25 Thread Paul Hopewell
Hello,
Can someone please remind me how to enable touch typing on an iPhone. This is
the typing mode where you slide your finger across the virtual keyboard and
when you hear the desired character you lift your finger off the virtual
keyboard and presto that character is entered.

I had this working on IOS 6 but after restoring my IOS 6 backup on an IOS 8
device the touch typing no longer works. I have searched everywhere to try to
turn it back on but with no success. I then tried looking for the option to
turn it on on IOS 6 but could not find it there either.

Many thanks.

Re: iPhone cleaning app.

2014-09-25 Thread christopher hallsworth
Is it called Kruftose? I use this app. It used to be called iClean then it got
changed to iEncript with the i instead of the y and now it's called something
like Kruftose. Anyway this app cleans the device by encrypting the free space
left by deleting data off it. I guess this means it wipes the free space so it
makes it harder to retrieve the deleted data.
