I have turned music off Chris but how is it that there was only one album
duplicated? Do not understand that.

Sounds like you have music stored in the cloud showing. To hide go to
settings, iTunes and App Stores and set music to off under the show all
heading.

[Mac-access]: a question about my mac book air

2014-11-24 Thread Melissa Tucker
I'm going out of town and my dad doesn't know how to turn his wifi on using his
windows 8 computer. My question is, is there a port on my macbook air where I
can hook his modem to my computer so I can have internet access? I have no
cell signal or internet signal using my phone when I go out there. I don't
think there is a port, but was hoping I was missing something. Thanks

2014-11-24 Thread Douglas
you will need something like a usb to RJ45 connecter if it is done through DSL.
this can be baught at almost any computer store for a fairly reasonable price.
on the mac book air itself, there is no way to directly connect the modem via
wire as there is no rj45 port.

Melissa,
There is no Ethernet port on the MBA. But you do have USB, so you
could purchase a USB to Ethernet dongle (little conversion cord), and
then plug the USB into the MBA, the Ethernet into the dongle, and the
other end of the Ethernet into the router.
I purchased mine from the Apple store, but I would assume you could
get the USB to Ethernet conversion cord from many places like Best
Buy.
Take care.

Re: [Mac-access]: a question about my mac book air

2014-11-24 Thread Melissa Tucker
I was using his wifi key, he didn't realize anyone used it, so when he got a
new computer, the phone company tech turned it off. He has windows 8 and
Frontier, the phone company is feeding him junk that he can't get wifi turned
back on because his email address isn't with them. I don't know anyone who can
turn it back on unless we pay another frontier tech to go back out and fix it.
He doesn't know how to turn it back on, and I have been using a mac for 3 years
now and not familiar with windows 8 enough to talk him through it.

There is also a ethernet to thunderbolt adaptor, as well as one for USB. You

[Mac-access]: Anybody know why my Mac can't see my notetaker as an external drive?

2014-11-24 Thread Andy Collins
Hi all -

I”m trying to paste some files from my Mac to my Braille Sense notetaker, but
when I connect the notetaker, it doesn’t show up as an external drive, neither
on the desk top nor under command shift c for computer. I haven’t got it in
terminal mode as far as I can see -

Andy

What kind of note taker do you have/? and are you sure it can be shown as a
drive? Maybe some drivers on the note taker or mac side are out of date?

I'd contact the company as well of your device and let them know what's going
on as well.
