[Mac-access]: looking for a good book reader

2015-01-18 Thread Glenn / Lenny
Hi,
I have an audio book in MP3 that I am going to put into DropBox, and I plan
on listening to it on my iPhone.
I want to be able to adjust the pitch (speed).
What is a good free app for this?

Thanks.

Interesting, I'll have to look into that as a future option.

Hi,
Yes, I don't have a Sirius radio, I just have the app. I do have it in my

Re: [Mac-access]: recording from an app

2015-01-18 Thread Glenn / Lenny
I have done that one before, but I probably did not explain it well, I
wanted to have one app going, and record it with another app.
I think some people do this with phone calls, and the same app would
probably record from the Sirius app.

 Greetings All,

I’m interested to hear from anyone who is successfully using any sort of
VO-accessible alternative to the standard MacOS Clipboard. In particular,
I am interested in one specific feature: the ability to use the “Copy last
phrase to clipboard” command (VO+Shift+C) to copy multiple consecutive or
non-consecutive items to the clipboard without overwriting the previous
item. I am a frequent User of this particular VO command, and there have
been many times when I’ve thought I could increase my productivity and
decrease the number of redundant keystrokes by simply being able to invoke
this command repeatedly and have the content copy itself into some sort of
non-volatile version of the built-in clipboard for future retrieval.

I came across another example this morning where I thought about how
useful this ability would be. I have received a number of emails from
students who are requesting that I help contact publishers to request
accessible versions of textbooks. These emails usually include lists of
the book titles with edition, author, publisher and ISBN. Usually, I only
need the ISBN, so I will go through each email, find each ISBN, use the VO
“Copy last phrase to clipboard” command to copy the number, use the
standard Command+V to paste the item into a spreadsheet, return to the
email, and repeat the process for each ISBN in each email. I’d really like
to just copy the first item to the clipboard, navigate to the next ISBN,
copy it to the clipboard without having it overwrite the first instance,
and repeat this process for all ISBN numbers, then go to the clipboard or
to the destination document and paste the entire list.

 Thoughts appreciated,
 Bryan

[Mac-access]: Dettaching an attachment in 1 password

2015-01-18 Thread Paul Hopewell
Hello,
I am running the latest Yosemite on my iMac with the latest 1 password 5.

I started using 1 password at 1 password 3 a long time ago and have migrated up
to 1 password 5. I have an attachment to a secure note which I now need to
detach and view.

How do I detach an attachment? I have tried the obvious such as locating the
attachment in the secure note detail and doing a mouse click on it but to no
avail. I was rather hoping that the 1 password file menu would include an
option to detach and attachment but no luck.

Any ideas? If I cannot detach the desired file then I have a problem as it is
my only copy!
Best regards….

Paul Hopewell
