We should now be back in business as a group, although I have some tweaking

Please don’t send “I am here’, or “I see you” to the group. We just want
life to resume from where it left off.

Let’s just say we’ve had a spectacular server crash from which we couldn’t

[Mac-access]: How to get VoiceOver to read Documents

2015-01-01 Thread April Brown
How do I get VoiceOver to read Libre Office Documents?

Or even Mail, Pdf's Pages, text edit etc?

CMD A does not read or beep.

Two finger swipe up or down does not read anything either.

With Rotor on Paragraphs, it only reads letters at a time, or occasionally
words.

Doesn't seem to matter if Quick Nav is on or off. No difference.

I have a whole list of ways I have tried.

Eventually, I need to be able to edit. I need to be able to read first. What
setting is not set?

[Mac-access]: Using VoiceOver in Libre Office

2014-12-31 Thread April Brown
Hello,

I am finally making progress learning VoiceOver. I primarily do my
writing in Libre Office because I can save my files in all necessary formats
(.doc, .rtf, pdf, and more). I am still having difficulty figuring out the
basics of reading, writing, and editing in Libre Office. Does anyone else use
this program? Why does it only read a word, or a few words, at a time
regardless of rotor setting? Why does it always jump back to the top of the
document when using the find function, rather than going to the word typed in
the find box?

I am still woking on publishing, and relying more and more on VoiceOver,
and less and less on my partial eye.
