Music videos on I pad

2014-01-25 Thread George Cham
Hi guys, I'm trying to work out how to stop I tunes from syncing music videos
to the I pad.
The files are not on the Mac, but they are showing up under music videos when I
open the app.
I've checked the app setting, and I cant work out how to stop it.

Time machine Backup

2014-02-28 Thread George Cham
I’m having problems with the time machine backup .

I bought a new external hard drive 1TB in size .

I backed up the mack which was 7GB , without movies.
The Backup is complete , but every hour or so, I get backup failed.

I’m thinking of excluding pictures and music from the backup, and only backup
the operating system .

Time machine backup

2014-03-06 Thread George Cham
I'm still having issues with the time machine backup.
The one thing I'm hearing from my external drive, is a clock like sound, when
it's backing up.
Could this be the end of this drive?

Superduper

2014-03-07 Thread George Cham
I've been having problems with time machine over the last few weeks, and I'm
trying superduper.
How effective is it? And how long does it take to backup the operating system?

As I said in my earlier email, I've downloaded the trial version of Superduper,

I contacted the support team, and was asked to supply the log file.
I was told to delete the copy that I had and install the attached file.
Its working now, and have sent them a message asking what was the problem.

Playing movies in iTunes

2014-05-17 Thread George Cham
with the new update to iTunes on the mac,10.93 i’m finding that when i play a
movie on the mac, voiceover does not put me in the focus were i can see the
controls at the bottom of the screen.

For example , i have files of a tv series, while playing a episode , i press
shift vo down arrow to access the controls..

But when i do it now, I’m m taken to the list of episodes while the current
file is playing.

I’ve just updated to the latest version of iTunes

Sending attached files through a website.

2014-06-05 Thread George Cham

I have a doctors certificate that I need to submit through my works internal
payroll system.

I attach the relevant file, but when I go to send it, nothing happens.
Is this a bug with safari? Or could it be a website issue?

While on this subject, I'm going to buy another I pad mini later this year,
and will be giving my original one to another member of the family.

What I want to do is create another user on the Mac, what I want to know is,
does VoiceOver announce what the users are on the login screen?

Apparently one of the reasons for it not going on is because I have to
 have administrator priveledges.
I opened up info on the Macintosh.hd and I only have custom priveledges.
How do I change my priveledges to administrator please.

 Thank you,
