I believe you want VO F1 pressed twice to bring up the applications chooser. I
use this to get at troublesome system dialogs so that I can work with them. I
hope that you find this of some help.

Here is the url that you need to add to iTunes.
http://2643.live.streamtheworld.com:80/WSMAMAAC_SC I tested it and it works.
You will want to search for the call sign and then you can copy and paste the
result to any playlist you want. Hth.

the selections that are announced by VO add to up next. I haven't tried
choosing one to see what happens, but I think I can see where this could be a
problem with such a large library.

Try VO f1 twice to bring up the application chooser. You should hear, “system
dialogue” or something similar. Select that option and VO space. Sometimes the

Subject: "Authentication has no window" When Installing an app

 Hi all,

When I wanted to install Proxifier (using its .pkg installation package),
 at
the very end, OSX would ask me for a password. If I tried to navigate in
this window or waited too much, I would hear "Authentication busy". If i
would alt-tab away and back, I would hear "Authentication has no window".

How can I fix this issue with having no window? The only way I found the
last time was to restart my system, as Voiceover didn't recognize other
windows and nothing worked. Even when I left-clicked, Voiceover would say
"Apple menu", but when I would press any of the arrow keys, I would just
hear the voice effect of hitting a boundary.

 Thanks.

Re: Overlapping windows

2011-08-19 Thread Randy Stegall
I take it that you have tried to hide the Finder? You may have to drag and
drop the certificates with the mouse or trackpad not using VO commands. In my
case I drag and drop sometimes with the magic trackpad and have VO announce the
item the pointer is over thereby giving me the needed feedback. Have you tried
using the window or application chooser? This works especially well when I
have multiple Finder windows open.

Re: Overlapping windows

2011-08-19 Thread Randy Stegall
Gordon,

That is what I thought. I have enough vision to tell that something is going
on on the display but can't read the print unless vo or zoom is turned on. I
take it that your assistant can't drag the offending window to one side of the
screen and the window he needs to work in to the opposite side?

Re: Entering Unicode characters

2013-04-13 Thread Randy Stegall
I use StickeyKeys also and when I want to lock the option key or any of the
modifier keys all I have to do is press the particular key twice. This locks
it until the key is pressed witch unlocks the key in use.

Hth..

Re: App store on the mac

2013-04-30 Thread Randy Stegall
Hi Kathy,

While in the mac App Store under the store menu you will find the login option
I think. I say that as I am logged into the app store. VO space on that menu
option and you will be given the username anmd password fields. These are the
username and password for your Apple ID account. I hope I haven't confused you
but this should work.
