You can use this to download radio and TV programs which you select by entering some words which might appear in the program title. After they have been downloaded you can play the programs via iTunes or transfer them to an iPhone or iPod. If you are interested in this approach please contact me off list and I can then Email you an article I recently wrote on how to use this application. Please note that you will have to google get iplayer automator as it is not in the app store. spell checker
Hi all, When I first starting using my macbook air it automatically checked the spelling and corrected the words. Now it tells me there is a miss spelling but doesn't correct it. I've played around with the setting but can't get it to simply correct the spelling as I type? Can anyone assist? voice over is on but speech is muted! help
Hi all, I was busy answering e-mails and my MacBook Air announced that voice over was on but speech was muted. So I'm stuck with no speech to put this problem right. Re: voice over is on but speech is muted! help
Oh great got it working. You are right I must have done it by mistake. I do wave my hands around a lot! Actually I do need to read a bit more about using the Mac. I love it so far - only had it 3 weeks and am getting on well with the use of help and the on board tutor guides with mail and safari but I’m struggling with pages. I suspect I’m not interacting at the right points and I find myself stuck in headers and footers. I’m getting there though and it is different to windows which is all I’ve ever used. Thanks for the help it is much appreciated. It is only about a 2 minute podcast so I can send to you off list if you like. - Original Message - From: Sharon Stockman sharon.d...@btinternet.com To: mac-access@mac-access.net Sent: Thursday, January 30, 2014 2:35 PM Subject: voice over is on but speech is muted! help Hi all, I was busy answering e-mails and my MacBook Air announced that voice over was on but speech was muted. RE: love to have windows
Hello John, I have recently bought a macbook air and intend to install windows under VM fusion. I have actually got on rather well with the Mac and have been surprised how quickly I've got to grips with it as a new Mac user but my work requires me to have access to windows as well from time to time so I want a machine that can do both. I'm going to give it a try this weekend with assistance from my sighted adult son who is reading up on how to do it so if we have success I'll happily let you know how we got on and I'd appreciate it if you would do the same. I know from another list it works well so fingers crossed. And please do let us know how you get on. Are you going to do this using a MacBook Pro or MacBook Air? I can't remember what you said you bought recently. Nice one! I know you can get a download for $119. If you want pro ofcorse it is going to caust motre but it should work just fine.
