Re: [Mac-access]: Using VoiceOver in Libre Office
If you have a newer Mac, Pages is free. It can export into Word and other formats. Unlike Libre Office, it doesn't separate every paragraph into a separate VoiceOver group. Text edit is way more than just a simple editor, it will save in rtf format by default, and while it will read word doc formats, it won't save in them, but that's what I use libreoffice for. :) And, it's interface is way easier to navigate too. --- Mac Access At Mac Access Dot Net --- To reply to this post, please address your message to mac-access@mac-access.net You can find an archive of all messages postedto the Mac-Access forum at the list's public Mail Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-access@mac-access.net/. [Mac-access]: Using VoiceOver in Libre Office
Hello, I am finally making progress learning VoiceOver. I primarily do my writing in Libre Office because I can save my files in all necessary formats (.doc, .rtf, pdf, and more). I am still having difficulty figuring out the basics of reading, writing, and editing in Libre Office. Does anyone else use this program? Why does it only read a word, or a few words, at a time regardless of rotor setting? Why does it always jump back to the top of the document when using the find function, rather than going to the word typed in the find box? I am still woking on publishing, and relying more and more on VoiceOver, and less and less on my partial eye.
