Changing Typing Input on the iPhone

2013-04-14 Thread Matthew Chao

Hi, Folks. I realize this may have come up in the past, but I'm stuck.

I just bought an iPhone 5, and everything works fine, except that I
want to change the typing input from double-tapping each letter to
the more efficient touch-and-lift input. I've looked everwhere, and
can't seem to find the solution. How do I change this? Thanks in advance.

HI.
I suspect the reason you can't find it is that your using the rota when not in
a text edit area, thus the typing mode option isn't visible.
So, take yourself for example to the body of a text message, then use the rota,
and eventually you'll see typing mode. Swipe down with 1 finger to touch typing
and your done!

Re: Changing Typing Input on the iPhone

2013-04-14 Thread Esther
Hi Matthew,

I usually just press the home button to go to the VoiceOver spotlight search
field. You'll automatically be in a text field, so just set the rotor to
typing mode and flick up or down to set the typing mode you want. Then I
usually set the rotor to something like characters so I don't change this by
accident.

HTH. Cheers,

Esther

Hi, Esther and All. Thanks much for the help. Where else on any
list could you get such a quick response. Will do what you
suggested. Thanks again.
