Select All from the table on the left.
Navigate to a signature in the table on the right. Make sure you interact with
the table.
Press VO-comma to mark the signature for drag and drop.
Wait until the signature is marked for drag and drop, and then press
VO-shift-F3 to turn off cursor tracking.
In the table to the left, navigate to the email account to which you wish to
add the signature. You should probably interact with the table—not that I’m
sure that it’s necessary, but it might be.
Press VO-period to drop the signature here. Once the drop is complete you can
turn on cursor tracking with VO-shift-F3 and navigate to the email account and
see your signature there.
Repeat for all the signatures you wish to add.

correct. Or you can just copy paste the text in to the new sig in the new
signature dialogue once you hit cmd n from the account in the table on the

Take care.

where, I see 2 tables, one on the left has the first row as all signatures
and the next 2 rows in that table are my eMail accounts.

The table to the right of that changes depending on what’s selected in the
table on the left, if all signatures are selected on the left then the table
on the right displays those and if one of the accounts is selected on the
left then the signatures that apply to that account are displayed.

So I take it that I have to select All signatures on the left, select a
signature on the right, select the account on the left and then drag it to
what? The empty panel on the right?

I personally find copy pasting is much easier then doing this. lol! I don't
ever rely on drag drop as even if you turn curser tracking of vo will still
loose focus and you will end up with a mess.

Pus I have a manual back up of my PList wherein all the signatures are stored.

Re: Addign Signatures To eMail Accounts With Apple Mail

2014-10-18 Thread Dane Trethowan
Actually I’m looking at a whole new way of doing this, well new for me at any
rate as I’m sure others are doing what I plan to do and that’s to use Text
Expander to fill out signatures, I just put in the appropriate signature to fit
my needs at the touch of a few keystrokes.

Re: Addign Signatures To eMail Accounts With Apple Mail

2014-10-18 Thread Dane Trethowan
That’s all very nice until you start working with multiple Mac machines where
signatures are synced, the signatures themselves appear in the “All Signatures”
pane but you have to manually drag them over to the accounts where you want
them, that’s no trouble now I know how its done smile.

If you added signatures and then copied text you’d see multiple items on your
computers, suppose for example you had 2 eMail accounts and you added
signatures for each on each of 3 machines then you’d end up with 6 signatures.

Oops? yeah that could be an issue. I personally don't use nor will I ever use
text expander as the auto correct feature works fine for me. I can just type a

syncing email accounts to iDevices

Hello listers,

First of all, let me wish you all a very merry Christmas.
I am wondering if anyone on the list could tell me how to sync my email
accounts using the latest iTunes? I can’t for the life of me figure this one
out. I would like to sync my email accounts to my iPod but I have no clue
where to look, unless I have missed something.
Thanks for your help and again, have a great holiday.

2013-12-22 Thread Lewis Crack
Hi Lyn,

I think under your iPod, there should be an Info Tab. VO Space on
that, then tab to Sync Mail Accounts or something. That is how it used
to be. I haven't done it on the new iTunes, so it may be different.
Merry Christmas!
Lewis.

Thanks for your help and again, have a great holiday.

Yes, in Mail Preferences in the signature pane. Select, all accounts, from
the list and then navigate to the, new signature, button. You will then have
an edit area to name the signature. After you do that, stop interacting and
navigate right to the edit field for the text of the signature.

Re: making a universal mail signature for all email accounts

2012-06-25 Thread Esther
Hi Sarah,

I have an all account signature in my Mail, although I don't currently have it
checked. And I created it the way John described. What do you mean by the
fact that you cannot literally have an all account signature like you can with
iOS. The difference, I think is that you can create multiple alternate all
account signatures for your Mac mail accounts, and switch between them, while
in iOS you have you edit the field each time you want to change your all
account signature.

Cheers,

Esther

2012-06-25 Thread Sarah Alawami
You have to drag that signature from all mail to your mail accounts according
to themail manual which I've taken the liberty to almost memorize fully.

Take care.

syncing email accounts

2011-07-30 Thread michael weaver
is there a way of syncing my email account on my computer to my
i-phone so i don't have to re enter my account details manually
on the i-phone?
i am sure that i-tunes used to do this automatically when the
i-phone was connected but since re installing lion, it doesn't
appear to have done this after i set up my email.
