Help needed if possible

Hi list:

Was wondering if anyone could refer me to a place I can refer a developer to 
for accessibility tricks?

Let me explain

I was in contact with the developer of the Atlantis mud client who stated she 
wanted to make it accessible for voice over users but was having trouble with 
knowing how to do this.

What I am trying to find out are places I can refer her to which may assist her 
in this endeavor. this is a real opportunity I feel to get a mud client which 
is fully accessible for voice over users.

She seems to be very receptive towards any suggestions or help.

Try the apple support sight. There's documentation on how to make apps work 
wiht voice over or so I'm told.. I know someone gave the link to those docs a 
while back but can't remember now and I removed about 3 months worth of 
messages to clean out this folder.

Developer's resources for iOS Accessibility [was Re: Help needed if possible]

Hi Mike,

You can point developers to the "Information for App Developers" page link at 
AppleVis:

I'll just mention a few of the resources linked there.  There's a very good 
blog article by Matt Legend Gemmell:
http://mattgemmell.com/accessibility-for-iphone-and-ipad-apps

In this blog post, he describes how easy it is in most cases to ensure 
accessibility using the standard developer tools.  It's worth a read even for 
list members.

There's also the iPhone Blind Wiki:
http://blind.wikia.com/wiki/IPhone

The section "For developers" gives specific links to the appropriate documents.

I also posted to this list back in January about the Stanford University iTunes 
U podcast series titled "Developing Apps for iOS" with the screencast that was 
released on December 8, 2010. The name of the episode is "18. Accessibility on 
iOS: Make an App for Everyone", and here's the URL:

The podcast series was about the details of writing iOS apps.  This particular 
episode featured Chris Fleizach describing, with step by step examples using 
the developer's toolkit, how to add accessibility features to an example iOS 
app.
