Is there any other way of turning voice over on apart from command f 5?
I am having a few problems with maverick on my 15 inch macbook pro and I have uninstalled it and want to reinstall lion. When I restart the macbook in recovery, I can’t get voice over working with command f 5. This isn’t a problem on the IMac, so I can’t understand why it shouldn’t work on the macbook pro. Does anyone know of any other way of starting voice over please? Ar. Try command fn f5. Without this the f5 key invokes the keyboard backlight hence the command unlikely to work. Have you tried Function Command F5? It may be that your ~function keys in recovery are set to hardware.
