Re: Navigating to mages o webpages

2013-04-23 Thread Catherine Turner
Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll have a look at that. The interesting
thing is, using a different screenreader I can pick up on the images.
I realise this list is for discussing Mac which is why I didm't
mention that in the first place. It just made me wonder whether there
was some other way of getting VO to pick up on the images.

Thanks,
Catherine

Hi Sarah,

You're correct. The Weather Underground Braille page URL is:
http://braille.wunderground.com/
The main Weather Underground page URL is:
http://www.wunderground.com/

I just prefer using the mobile version of their web pages.

Cheers,

Esther

Use the Weather Underground Page instead [was Re: Navigating to mages o webpages]

2013-04-21 Thread Esther
Hi Catherine and Sarah,

I use the weather underground mobile site, which has the URL:
http://m.wund.com/
They even have a mobile site that is optimized for the iPhone, that I use on my
iPhone:
http://i.wund.com/

Type in your city or postal code into the text box and then press return. You
can bookmark this page. On the iPhone I double tap the "Go" button in the
bottom right corner of the virtual keyboard. Then, once you have the forecast
page for your city, save it to your home screen by double tapping the Safari
"Utilities" button at the bottom of your screen, just above the home button.
Double tap the "Add to Home Screen" button, and you'll be able to access the
weather report for your city, both current and forecast.

HTH. Cheers,

Esther

Try the weather underground site. the coder probably of your site did not code
the images correctly. I'd give you the link but I'm in the middle of a24 hour
black out of all social circles including twitter and facebook. I think it's
http://weatherunderground.com if not google "weather underground"

The site is very easy to navigate and use.

Take care.
