Re: Can't eject Cd

2014-05-09 Thread Juaanita Marttin
Never mind. I turned the drive pointing down and gravity helped pop the disk
out. What a scare though!

2014-05-09 Thread David Griffith
Sarah on this list passed a tip to me which has helped me in this situation.

Restart your Mac and whilst it is restarting hold a finger down on the
trackpad.
If all goes well the CD should eject as your Mac finishes it restart.

I got a Cd drive for my MacBook Air a few days ago. I'm in the process of
putting all my Cd's on it. There's a Cd in the drive now. When I do the
eject command, nothing happens. I hear the drive make noise but the Cd
doesn't pop out. There isn't a physical eject button on the drive itself,
so how do I get the Cd out?

Will that work with an external super drive attached? I'll have a chance to
test this in a few months as my air does not have a cd drive. lol. I'm hoping
someone beats me to the answer though lol!

Try holding down the mouse button (trackpad in your case) while powering up the
