Hello. Control click on the image and the shoudl be a copy image link, if ther 
is one and a save image. Since  I don't have safari/webkit open at the moment I 
can't get the wording right but hope that helps.

Hi Gordon,

I did this recently. I found that it was possible to do this by:

1. Routing the mouse pointer to the place where the image is
2. Bring up the context menu either with VO+Shift+M or Control+Click and 
selecting "SAve Image"/"Save Image As"

Hello James

Damn! That's where I went wrong; I tried to "Option+Click" and wondered why I 
didn't get the results I wanted; and for some reason didn't even think of 
trying a control+click. . Thanks for the second suggestion as the first, the 
VO+M option can't be used because this particular site objects violently to 
VoiceOver. All that happens when the site is entered with Vo resident is a loop 
of VoiceOver crash restart, crash restart, crash, restart; you get the idea!

If you use either VO+Shift+M or Control+Click on the Image, you'll find the 
option to "save image to "Downloads" in the pop-up menu that appears.
