Re: VMware Fusion 6.0

2013-09-13 Thread Gordon Smith
Hi Don

No, you cannot use VO in Windows. Regarding the UAC, what you’d expect to
happen in a basic install of the OS happens in the VM also. I’m not going to
get more detailed as that would take this discussion off topic and I’m keen to
avoid that. I know that there are members who already become quite vexed by
the discussion ofFusion, so I don’t want to add further to their irritation.
Quite apart from the fact that doing so would place me in direct violation of
our own list policy rules and I may see Lynne placing me into moderation mode
and that could lead to a row and I’d have to move out and then ;-)

Kind regards

Re: VMware Fusion 6.0

2013-09-09 Thread Gordon Smith

 Hi Chris
The difference is the serial number. You are correct that the
package itself is identical, but VMware has two distinctly
separate download links on their website, 1 for the Proffessional
edition and the other for the standard edition. Yes, it's
strange, unless some of the inclusions are not plesent.
Keep in mind also that there are probably different paxages
when you register. I don't know for sure as yet, but that's my
guess.

 Kind regards
 Gordon

Re: VMware Fusion 6.0

2013-09-08 Thread don bishop
Thanks,
I was wondering which version was appropriate.
I do have a couple questions though.
I assume vo doesn't talk in the windows environment so I need to install a
windows screen reader. Is this correct? If so, is user account control
active?
I'm okay with that, but it's good to know ahead of time. I'll probably use
windows 7 since that's what I'm most familiar with.

Many thanks,

Don

Cool. someone already did a write up and they said the accessibility was good.
They are an IT specialist of apple products and they tested the professional
version. They said there was not much difference between accessibility of 5 vs
6.

Tc and be blessed.

I've upgradet to Fusion 6.0 two days ago and accessibility is as good as in the
versions before. Nothing seems to have changed with the user interface
regarding to version 5.x.
