book and i don't want to be worrying about setting up each page with frames
and that as it would take ages to do and with the kind of things i am going to
be writing about which i am not going to say here but all i want to do is be
able to type and make it look good like a book should but to have it published

Re: i books author

2012-10-01 Thread Bryan Jones
I spent a bit of time poking around iBooks Author when it was first released,
and I was eventually able to enter some text and even create a table. In fact,
the table creation and navigation seems to have all the functionality many of
us long to have in Pages and TextEdit.

With regard to entering text, I think iBooks Author takes the page layout
approach similar to desktop publishing applications. This means you are not
able to just create a new document and start typing text on the page, but must
first place a frame or frames on each page and then designate the type of
content the frame will hold.

If I had the time, I'd love to read a manual and try to work my way through
learning the ins-and-outs of this app as I have a feeling it is quite
accessible and could be useful in some situations.

hehahaha. At least for now until I learn if it is or if it is not accessible.

Good luck.

I'm wondering the same thing. I can't even find a way to enter text or choose
a templet. If it is not accessible I'm quite surprised as apple tries their
best to make things very much usable with voice over. but then again it could
be operator error.
