Diana,
The word convert reads perfectly on my for S running 7.1. I am using Siri to
dictate this if that helps at all?

Hello Diane - Did you see the list of responses to your original posting of
this request? A number of us confirmed your findings when using the HQ US
English voice under IOS 7.1.

Re: ios 7.1: convert vs. convela

2014-03-31 Thread Glenn
I am using the Australian voice, and it pronounces it correctly.
Then I switch to the American voice and it says something weird like covey
eyed
So it is a bug with the American voice. Perhaps that is why the Apple tech
did not hear it.

Subject: ios 7.1: convert vs. convela

I need to know if this is happening to others.
When reading the word "convert " with vO on a device running ios 7.1, the
word
"convert " is pronounced "convela" I have had 2 others check this out,
and
they get the same result. I know this is crazy, and have know idea why this
is
happening, or how a vO pronunciation could have changed. It was speaking it
correctly in ios 7.0.6.

Please let me know if this is happening on your ios7.1 device(s).

Thanks,
Diane
