Re: Turning Wi-Fi On and Off on My MacBook Pro

2014-01-18 Thread Georgina Joyce
Hello,

Don’t worry about it. If there’s a cable in the ethernet port it will use that
connection. With the newer Macbook’s there’s not a physical switch to turn it
off. During the boot up process the ethernet port will be configured very early
whereas, wireless requires a lot more running processes to function.

Turning Wi-Fi On and Off on My MacBook Pro

2014-01-18 Thread Matthew Chao
Hi, Folks. Am in the process of upgrading to Mavericks on my
mid-2009 MacBook Pro. How do I turn off the wireless so I can plug
in my ehthernet cable for a more reliable connection? After I'm
done, how do I turn wireless back on? thanks in advance.
