Yes sorry, forgot to change the subject line, if the eMail was the one I'm thinking it is - you didn't make things too clear - then it was a correction to a post I made earlier regarding an App for iPhone which was certainly on topic. iSangean, An App Full Of Surprises
Hi! Last week I wrote a brief introduction to the Sangean WRF-28D Dab/FM/Internet Radio, I've been playing with the set for a week now and here's my notes, comments and observations. This portable radio is thoroughly recommended as its feature packed and most features people without vision can easily use through either the radio itself, the iSangean App or through a web interface on a computer. Yes, you will need sighted assistance to set the radio up and no, you can't set alarms and you can't navigate through the menu system easily but those are small verses. The iSangean app allows near full remote control and interactivity with the radio to the extent that you can read the information displayed from Internet and DAB+ radio stations. For example, I tuned to the Sky Racing DAB+ channel and was able to see that the next race at Warrick Farm was at 3:15 this afternoon, tuning to the ABC News Radio DAB+ channel allowed me to view the current weather forecast for Melbourne, When I tuned to ABC Radio National I was able to read the currently airing programme and what was up next so we now have - all be it in a round about way - an accessible DAB+ radio. Using the App you can browse for Internet radio channels or search for what you're looking for, you can then save that station to 1 of the 5 preset buttons on the front of the radio or add it to your Favourites list. The Favourites list can be accessed via the web where it can be added to, edited and so on, the radio must be registered with the Radio Fronteer web site so that the site recognises the radio, this is done by creating an account on Radio Fronteer and then typing in a unique Access Code which is found in the radios Help menu. I will write a complete review of the radio shortly, when I've played with the set more. ** Dane Trethowan Skype: grtdane12 Phone US (213) 438-9741 Phone U.K. 01245 79 0598 Phone Australia (03) 9005 8589 Mobile: +61400494862 Fax +61397437954 ** Dane Trethowan Skype: grtdane12 Phone US (213) 438-9741 Phone U.K. 01245 79 0598 Phone Australia (03) 9005 8589 Mobile: +61400494862 Fax +61397437954 --- Mac Access At Mac Access Dot Net --- To reply to this post, please address your message to mac-access@mac-access.net You can find an archive of all messages postedto the Mac-Access forum at either the list's own dedicated web archive: http://mail.tft-bbs.co.uk/pipermail/mac-access/index.html or at the public Mail Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-access@mac-access.net/.
