Good shout James. Interestingly, when I reboot the machine the file/folder is there. I tried deleting the various plist files as well but no joy. mavericks: finder fails to refresh.
Hi folks, Apologies if this has been raised before. I’ve noticed an odd thing with the finder. When I have a folder open and add a new file/folder VO doesn’t pick up that it’s there. An example will suffice to illustrate. Let’s say I have downloads open and I have a compressed archive which I need to open/extract. If I press vo-space then the file extracts fine. However, VO does not tell me the file is there. I should say that I am in Column view. Anyone any fixes? Hmm. I’m in list view and have so far been unable to replicate this. The finder refreshes just fine for me. Try list view as that’s much much easier to use in my opinion. Take care.
