sim fee iPhone: be very very careful.
Folks, I've been looking into purchasing an iPhone 4S sim free. This is just a friendly note of caution to be *very* careful as some companies are charging extortionate prices. I'm not breaching any rules here by saying that if one compares the prices on the Applestore, to those offered by expansys you'll see a marked difference. *this applies to uk/Irish residents in the case of the company in question, but I'm sure it's pretty universal. Avoid rip offs. Re: sim fee iPhone: be very very careful.
I know what you mean Nick, but just to put this in context. iPhone 4S black on apple €699. On expansys.ie 974.99. Both 32GB. On 8 Nov 2011, at 11:32, Nicolai Svendsen wrote: Hi! I find a bit of irony in this post, at least in my case. Apple actually charges more than another Apple authorized retailer for a sim-free iPhone 4S, by just about $250. While I'm still waiting for it to ship, and while they're cutting their shipping date a bit too close to their estimate they gave me, I know they're legit. I just tend to worry when they said one to two weeks from Friday October 28, and I'm on my second week with only a few days to spare. I think my worry stems from the fact that my shipping estimates have always been generous, but this one is not. Even so, your warning is very true. I've seen a lot of stores that charge a lot more than they should, even for those on contract. Re: sim fee iPhone: be very very careful.
Hi! The reason that it's sometimes worth looking elsewhere is that you can get it cheaper, even though it's an Apple authorized reseller. That doesn't always mean that it's the price Apple puts out, as is the case with my iPhone. Apple themselves also charge more for the iPhone 4 than they do for the iPhone 4S here compared to our biggest reseller, which is amusing, but very backwards. Re: sim fee iPhone: be very very careful.
Hi Mike, The reason one has to buy from alternative resellers is that if the device is being purchased through a University, a purchase order is required. If, say, Apple is not set up on the system, but the reseller is, then you use the reseller.
